The patched resistance plant, otherwise known as kudzu (Pueraria lobata), is found in America and Asia. The vine of this plant grows up to 30 m in height and its most valuable active group of compounds is considered to be the isoflavones: genistin, daidzein, daidzein diglucoside, genistein and formonotein. Kudzu root has an alkaline reaction and supports digestion and cleansing. Kudzu extract has proven properties that can support the body in the fight against addictions. Isoflavones have no toxic effects and can effectively reduce the need to consume alcohol. Thanks to the flavonoid compounds, not only is the absorption of alcohol inhibited, but also alcohol intoxication resulting from chemical changes in the body is reduced. At the same time, kudzu root isoflavones have been found to increase serotonin and dopamine concentrations in the central nervous system, which is thought to result in a gradual reduction in the ‘need’ to consume alcohol in any form. It is likely that the process of reducing the need to consume a certain amount of alcohol on a daily basis depends on the severity of the addiction. Similar reports apply to smokers. Kudzu promotes the minimisation of negative feelings associated with breaking the tobacco habit. Additionally, in clinical observations, kudzu root extract promotes minimisation of the intensity of headaches - including migraine headaches. Kudzu may also support cardiovascular function - including vascular and cardiac wellbeing. It also promotes the maintenance of optimal blood cholesterol levels, which may contribute to maintaining normal blood pressure. The use of kudzu root may also prove to be supportive of troublesome menopausal, postmenopausal and andropause symptoms, primarily by minimising troublesome symptoms caused by hormonal changes and by supporting well-being and mood.

The acacia fibre contained in the capsules is a natural bulking substance with valuable properties. It is extracted from acacia trees that grow in Africa. It belongs to the soluble fibre fraction and supports the health-promoting effects of kudzu. In addition, dietary fibre is one of the so-called prebiotics that stimulate the development of the natural intestinal microflora - it promotes optimal gastrointestinal function, supports intestinal peristalsis to help regulate bowel movements, cleanse the body and prevent bloating and chronic constipation. It also influences the maintenance of optimal blood cholesterol levels.
